Irrigation Department
INTRODUCTION
Majuli Division (Irrigation) has been newly created to cater the need of Irrigation requirements of Majuli District during Aug/2021 carrying out from erstwhile Jorhat Division (Irrigation). This Division has 56 nos. of minor irrigation schemes creating net irrigation potential of 8158 Ha throughout the Majuli district as on date with approx. 3100 nos. of beneficiaries as per official record.
DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAMME:
Irrigation schemes are implemented through different programme under various sources of funding from State and Central Govt.
programme under which various schemes are presently being executed are:-
- PMKSY-HKKP (Phase-I)
- RIDF (NABARD)
- SOPD
- CMSGUY
