How to reach Majuli?
By Air: Fly into Jorhat (Rowriah), Lakhimpur (Lilabari), or Dibrugarh (Mohanbari).
By Train: Nearest railway stations are Jorhat and Gogamukh.
By Road: You can drive from Lakhimpur (via Dhakuakhana) or Dibrugarh (via Bogibeel Bridge). Direct buses run from Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, and Dibrugarh, including overnight buses from Guwahati.
By Ferry (from Jorhat): Take a scenic ferry ride across the Brahmaputra from Nimatighat (Jorhat) to Kamalabarighat or Afalamukh Ghat (Majuli).
By Ferry (from Lakhimpur side): For a quick crossing, you can take a ferry from Dhunaguri Ghat (just 10 km from Bihpuria). It takes only 15 minutes to cross the Subansiri River to reach Majuli. (Timing: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm)
Pro-Tip & Timings: Book your ferry tickets online in advance at Assam Inland Water Transport Ferries run from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM (for Jorhat-Majuli)
